The first time a female driver's livery has been featured here on my RBR skins site. Here's Eija Jurvanen's Ford Escort RS Cosworth from the 1995 Jyväskylän Talviralli. Sadly I have not been able to find results from this rally. Jurvanen was a part of the Teboil Racing Team as is quite visible from the car itself. The Teboil Racing Team has featured multiple rallying legends in their roster, most notably Markku Alen, Ari Vatanen and Timo Salonen in the 70s. Jurvanen is the unofficial Ladies World Rally Champion from 1992. She also won the Ladies Finnish Rally Championship in 1991. Other notable results are a win the 1993 Saaremaa Ralli and a 5th place result in Louna-Eesti Ralli in 1995. I'm a bit sad that I don't know that much about her. First non-Finn skin here on this site. Thought it'd be easy to make as I had a solid base with the Vatanen skin. And it was. No feelings of any sort towards this driver or car to be honest, but why not give something for Baumschlager's fans too. Raimund's rally was quite a disaster, rolling the car on SS3 and retiring . Beautiful car, got to run only for a few stages sadly. I've heard a story that Ari got the opportunity to have a proper works car for this rally, as one of the regular works drivers had some issue preventing them from participating in Rally Finland in 1994. Ari had already made a deal with SMS to run in their Escort in Rally Finland. Who did that works Escort then go to? Tommi Mäkinen. He happened to win the rally if you didn't know. But like I said, it's a story and I'm not 100% sure if it's legitimate or not. Ari's rally was not much to celebrate. He retired on SS4 according to eWRC results. He clipped a stone and something snapped from the suspension, forcing him to retire. Shame. Since he retired from the rally early, it was rather tricky to find enough source material to create the skin but I like to think I did an allright job with this. Today's addition to the site is the livery of Jarmo Kytölehto's Ford Escort RS Cosworth from 1996 Rally of the 1000 Lakes. He drove the Escort in 1996 Rally Finland as a privateer battling another (semi)privateer driver, some Grönholm or something, for the final step of the podium. Kytölehto won the battle eventually by 5 seconds and Marcus had to wait a bit further for his first WRC podium. Enjoy!
