The rallying world lost one of it's greats on February 26th. Hannu Mikkola passed away at the age of 78 after a long battle with cancer. As a tribute, I wanted to do this livery, and one other from Hannu's career. I wanted to have this and 1979 Rally Portugal liveries available, when OLD Rally has it's Rally Portugal in a few weeks. I'll be running these two liveries there as a tribute to Hannu. In this rally, Hannu managed to finish second. Only behind the undisputed king of Rally Portugal, Markku Alen. But next year Hannu got his revenge and he took first of his three wins here in Portugal. Sadly this 3d model is not the greatest, so we can't have 100% accurate copy of Hannu's car. For example the extra lights are lacking, and the texture mapping in them is so bad, that it's better to just not use the lights.  I hope to see as many of you as possible rocking some liveries of Hannu in the near future to pay your respects to one of the all time greats in the...

FINALLY WE'VE GOT OURSELVES AN ESCORT MK II IN NGP6! Goes without saying that I'm hyped. The addition of this car provides endless (really.) opportunities to make skins of Finnish drivers. I started here with an "easy" one, so I could get a Finnish skin for this car for an episode of Maximum Attack Mondays . This rally happened soooooo long ago, that I have not got much information of it. So I will not tell much about Hannu's rally then. He did win though ahead of his teammate late great Björn Waldegård. So it can't have been that shit can it? Hope you guys enjoy! To make the additional lights work properly, make sure to install the update for the additional headlights .
