Mitsubishi Lancer Evo X - Jarkko Nikara - Rally Finland 2009

First Mitsubishi Lancer release on this site! There's plenty of more to come in the future, I promise you.

I've always appreciated Jarkko Nikara a lot as a driver. I get a sort of a "your favorite drivers favorite driver" -vibe from him. More than capable behind the wheel. When he participated in the Pirelli Star Driver, I had high hopes for him. Sadly not much seemed to come out of it, as next year Nikara drove a modest Twingo R2 in Britain.

Anyway, Nikara has made plenty of good drives with Mitsubishis and that's why I wanted to make this livery for this Evo X Lancer, as it doesn't have a Nikara skin. Now it does.

Jarkko's rally in Finland 2009 didn't go too well, as he had to retire from the rally after a mechanical failure. His pace was okay in the N4 category, especially considering the S2000 cars were in the same category at the time. Before the stage Jarkko retired, he was 2nd fastest "pure" N4 car in class. 4 minutes 27 seconds behind Patrik Flodin, although Jarkko had a 3 minute 40 second time penalty for being late in TC earlier. But all this could've stuff is useless.
